The work from home phenomenon is thoroughly explored in this illuminating new book from bestselling 37signals founders Fried and Hansson, who point to the surging trend of employees working from home (and anywhere else) and explain the challenges and unexpected benefits. Most important, they show why - with a few controversial exceptions such as Yahoo -- more businesses will want to promote this new model of getting things done. The Industrial Revolutions under one roof model of conducting work is steadily declining owing to technology that is rapidly creating virtual workspaces and allowing workers to provide their vital contribution without physically clustering together. Today, the new paradigm is move work to the workers, rather than workers to the workplace. According to Reuters, one in five global workers telecommutes frequently and nearly ten percent work from home every day. Moms in particular will welcome this trend. A full 60% wish they had a flexible work option. But companies see advantages too in the way remote work increases their talent pool, reduces turnover, lessens their real estate footprint, and improves the ability to conduct business across multiple time zones, to name just a few advantages. In Remote, inconoclastic authors Fried and Hansson will convince readers that letting all or part of work teams function remotely is a great idea--and theyre going to show precisely how a remote work setup can be accomplished. ??????? ????? ? ????? ?????????? ??????? - ???????? ???????????????, ?????????? ???????? 37signals. ???????????, ?????????? ???? ????????? The St. Gallen Management Concept could be termed the DNA of the Integrated Business Model that is developed and detailed by Oliver D. Doleski. The practical St. Gallen Management Concept offers a good conceptual framework for the development of change, and increasingly dynamic change, which is now more than ever the key factor shaping business actions. The complexity arising from this very dynamism is becoming a defining characteristic of todays markets. Traditional methods and business models can deliver less than ideal results in this difficult environment. New approaches to business development are needed. To master complexity, these approaches must fully integrate all of the many and diverse aspects and demands of normative, strategic and operational management. Oliver D. Doleski is a management consultant. He actively involved in shaping changes on the German energy market and has published widely in the field.

Gorazd Ocvirk creates a comprehensive model for the strategic management of market niches, and provides a framework for the construction of a strategic management theory of market niches. Based on the current state of research on the niche topic within, strategic management has many niche typologies but no clear common methodological and theoretical framework on which to lean on. This model has remained absent from the market niche research in the field of strategic management and has led to a state of conceptual ambiguity of the field. Dr. Gorazd Ocvirk is director of a global acting consultant company.

This book presents a systematic literature review of 156 published papers on business model innovation (BMI). The aim is to identify and integrate the different theoretical perspectives, analytical levels, and empirical contexts in order to deepen understanding of this complex phenomenon. The authors conduct an inductive thematic analysis based on an informal ontological classification that identifies 56 key themes. Within each theme, discussion focuses on thematic patterns, potential inconsistencies and debates, and future directions and opportunities for research. The book makes a number of significant contributions to the field. First, it offers a deeper understanding of the evolution of research on BMI through an ontological map that identifies the key thematic areas in the literature. Second, a multilevel model is developed that clarifies the concept of BMI by identifying its drivers, contingencies, and outcomes. Third, the authors identify clear and specific directions for further research and offer suggestions on research design, creating an informative road map for the future. The book will be of value both to scholars and researchers and to practitioners. Daniela Andreini , PhD, is an Associate Professor in Marketing at the University of Bergamo (Italy). Strategic Design of B2B e-Marketplace Business ...

Diploma Thesis from the year 2001 in the subject Business economics - Company formation, Business Plans, grade: 0, European School of Business Reutlingen, language: English, abstract: B2B Commerce enthusiasm is big - even despite the recent e-marketplace shake-out. Internet Technology and its technical details involved in creating an e-marketplace is complex, important, and interesting, so that it was easy for many dot-coms to get lost in them. But when it comes to its base, e-business is not about bytes, but still about pure business, as the recent market development has shown. Obviously, the market will now look more cautiously at the business model content and demands sustainable e-marketplace business model, which has been a basic reason for me to create a practical framework for the design of B2B e-marketplace models. Breeding ground for my own e-business enthusiasm was certainly my internship at IBM Unternehmensberatung GmbH and further works within the IBM Consulting Group, where I had the chance to gain deeper insight in the creation of e-marketplaces. During the creation of this report, I have truly been experiencing a lot of cooperative support, interesting discussions, as well as many helpful suggestions, and I would like to acknowledge the contributions of all who participated. Especially, I wish to express my deep thanks to Martin Koppenborg, Vice President Strategic Accounts at emaro.com, an e-marketplace start-up, Frank Schmidt, Market Analyst at IBMs e-business services, and to Dr. Alexander Hirschbold, Consultant at Mercer Management Consulting, who each played a critical role in the building process.
